Description
An Italian glass lamp from the 1940s, reminiscent of pre-war Martinuzzi work, precious because the bollicine texture and the unusual frosted and smoked gray Murano glass are created by a process which is no longer permitted: the glass mass is blown while immersed in boiling petroleum with the result of a unique texture and graduation in tones from nearly black to smoked gray. The bowl is adorned with two black glass side scrolls hand applied in relief. Original condition with the base worked in the same manner.
