1960s Italian White Round Table with Laminated Gray Painted Fabric Top

Description

A rare vintage decorative tulip occasional table attributed to the Italian Company Ditta Steffenino in Turin. This company, already in the 1950s, was experimenting with a Thermo hardening resin on different materials with extraordinary success with fabrics. The tabletop is decorated with hand-painted fabric in a berries and leaves pattern, in gray pencil color under a clear lamination, high quality of details with beveled edges.

Carter Design has chosen this piece to be displayed at the Hampton Designer Showhouse 2019.
